Itinerary
Day 01: Pick up in Lucknow and Drive to Nepalgunj (200km)
Nepalgunj altitude: 150 m Drive duration: 4-5 hrs Drive distance: 200 km Overnight: Nepalgunj We will pick you up from the Lucknow location and then drive to Nepalgunj. The drive to Nepalgunj on a 200km route takes around 4-5 hrs. The trail will lead you through the scenic landmarks. After arriving at the destination of Nepalgunj, you will rest overnight.
Day 02: Flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot
Simikot altitude: 150 m Flight duration: 30 minutes Overnight: Simikot The trail will lead you to the beautiful destination of Simikot. You will then take the scenic early morning flight, which takes around half an hour. The flight takes an early morning as the weather remains clear. The most outstanding views of the entire Himalayas region are stunning. At Simikot, you will rest overnight.
Day 03: Flight from Simikot to Hilsa on Helicopter and Drive to Purang
Hilsa altitude: 3800m Drive duration: 1-2 hrs Helicopter flight duration: 25 minutes Overnight: Purang The flight to the Hilsa on a helicopter takes place early in the morning. The helicopter trip is where you can observe the stunning Himalayan vista of the region. The helicopter trip takes around 20 minutes to arrive at Hilsa from Simikot. You will drive to Purang from Hilsa. The trail to Purang (3800m) is quite an incredible journey passing through the spectacular Himalayan region. After passing through 3 checkpoints, you will arrive at the destination. You will spend the night at the teahouse in the region at Purang.
Day 04: Rest and acclimatization in Purang
This day is spent acclimatizing and resting at Purang Taklakot. You will arrive at an altitude of 4000m above in the region. The trail will lead you through the serene terrains of the area and explore around. The process of acclimatization will help you with adapting to changing conditions. It is essential to acclimatize in the region. You will need it to tackle altitude sickness in the area. Altitude sickness is caused due to the lower amount of oxygen and air pressure in the region. You can rest well and drink 3-4 liters of water to aid in acclimatization. After exploring the area, you can arrive at the destination for the night, where you can rest.
Day 05: Drive from Purang to Mansarovar (4590m), Trek to Deraphuk (4890m)
Deraphuk altitude: 4890m Drive duration: 1-2 hrs Trek duration: 1-2 hrs Overnight: Deraphuk You will drive back to Mansarovar at an altitude of 4590m. The trail will lead you through the scenic terrains of the region. You will drive to Mansarovar on scenic landscapes. You will have your breakfast and continue your journey. The trail passes through various checkpoints to arrive at the destination. You will cover a total distance of 95 km to arrive at Manasarovar Lake. The trail will lead you to Taklakot after driving for around 70 Km, where you can find Rakshas Tal on the right. There is the Gurla Mandhata Parvat that you can observe along the trail. The spectacular vista of Mount Kailash and Manasarovar lake looks incredible in the region. The course will move from Rakshas Tal to Manasarovar Lake (25 km). There you can go to the Mansarovar lake parikrama. You will then trek to Deraphuk where you will spend the night.
Day 06: Drive to Yam Dwar and trek to Deraphuk (4890m)
Deraphuk altitude: 4890m Drive duration: 1-2 hrs Trek duration: 1-2 hrs Overnight: Deraphuk The beautiful trail to the region will start with a scenic drive to Yama Dwar. This is where you start the Kora Parikrama. After arriving at this destination, you will start trekking to Deraphuk for 14 km. After walking for some time, you will arrive at Mt. Kailash, where you can touch the mountain’s feet, also known as Charan Sparsh. You will stay for the night in Deraphuk.
Day 07: Trek to Dolma La Pass (5610m) and to Zuthlphuk
Dolma La Pass altitude: 5610m Trek duration: 1-2 hrs Overnight: Zuthulphuk The trail will lead you through the beautiful destination of Zuthulphuk via the majestic Dolma La Pass. The course will lead you through the serene terrains of the region. We will have breakfast in the region and then continue our journey traversing the beautiful terrains. You will trek around 3 km to the Dolma La Pass. The trail will lead you through the steep hill and then gradually descend. The path will lead you through the Gaurikund before arriving at Phedi. After arriving at Zuthulphuk, you will stay for the night.
Day 08: Trek to Darchen and drive to Hilsa
Darchen altitude: 4890m Drive duration: 1-2 hrs Trek duration: 1-2 hrs minutes Overnight: Hilsa The trail will lead you through the beautiful terrains of the region to arrive at Darchen. After breakfast, you will trek through the Himalayan landscapes and continue on uphill terrain. You will walk around 8 km for 3 hrs to arrive at the destination. After arriving at Darchen, you will take another scenic drive to Hilsa.
Day 09: Flight to Simikot, Nepalgunj, and drive to Lucknow
After breakfast short drive to Yamddwar, visit Yama Dwar.This is starting point of Kora.We will trek to Diraphuk which is 12 km trek (7/8 Hrs) crossing west face of Mt.Kailash,You will visit North face of Mt.Kailash. Arrive at Diraphuk transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight at Diraphuk. Overnight at a Hotel in Diraphuk.
